[Special Invited Talk] A resilient network architecture taking account of the ICT demand characteristics in large scale disasters

(in English) This paper describes a resilient network architecture based on a transportable information and communication technology (ICT) node. It first overviews the damages and the restoration trend of ICT network appeared after the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011. Reinforcing the resilience of the ICT network to large scale disasters is still required to alleviate the social disorder caused by traffic congestion and outages on the ICT networks and services. We show a network architecture based on a transportable ICT node is promising to meet the issue. A research project on the resilient network conducted by the authors and other several organizations is also introduced.
