| (in English) | Optical orthogonal codes (OOC) have been studied by many researchers to improve its flexibility such as variable code length and variable code weight. Recently, the author have proposed OOCs with variable chip rates, which can keep the orthogonal properties of the strict OOC even when different chip rate codes are used in an optical access network for multiplexing. The author have studied the random code search, the upper bound of code size, numerical analysis on BER performance, etc. Their consideration, however, was restricted to fixed bit rate in the all codewords, due to basic and simple analysis. In this paper, the variable chip rate OOCs with unequal bit rates are studied. Some modifications of code parameters and considerable conditions are discussed. Some code search results by a computer program are also shown for confirmation of such code existance. | |
