| (in English) | Clusters with GPUs become widespread because they provide high peak performance and good performance per cost. However, since the number of plugged GPUs into a CPU is limited by power supply and so on, such clusters must have multiple host PCs. This conventional multi-GPU cluster requires programmers to learn parallel programming skills for controlling communication between nodes as well as GPU programming. We propose new multi-GPU system, single host and multiple GPUs connected via Ethernet by using ExpEther. Compared with a single GPU, our proposed system with eight GPUs achieved 7.13 speedup in the application without communication between devices, 3.74 speedup in the application has communication. | |
