| (in English) | Considering different mobile services have different QoS requirements on emergency, importance, or network connectivity, we envision a mobile network that can achieve service continuity for important services even under the condition of congestions or failures in the network, by preferentially allocating network resources to those services. This paper proposes a basic concept of service-aware mobile network virtualization with the capability of detecting specific service traffic and dynamically allocating network resources for that service. This paper also proposes a virtual network handover mechanism for service-aware mobile network virtualization, where there co-exist a common virtual network available for all the services and service accesses from users and multiple prioritized virtual networks, each of which is built for a specific service on an on-demand basis. A basic functional node design of a virtual base station (vBS) and a virtual base station switch (vBS-SW) are also shown. Finally, as a case study, we adopt OpenFlow as a basis of network virtualization and we show an OpenFlow-based practical virtual network handover scheme. |
