Continued development of information technology infrastructures has made it possible for even individuals to be sources of information as well as receivers on the Internet. This suggests that the Internet should have functionalities for controlling the “range” at which information is available to anyone. SNSs may have partly those functionalities but they are built on the upper layer; information may physically reach or pass through non-related nodes, which is not desirable in terms of privacy/security and network resource usage. This makes it clear that the information range should also be controlled in the lower layer. This paper presents a conceptual design of integrated system architecture for information-range control and its feasibility with the preliminary examination results. |
