Recently, augmented reality systems that provide additional information on different depth planes become increasingly popular. However, when some information appear on different depths sequentially, it is possible that the visibility of information is reduced. Therefore, using rapid serial visual presentation (RSVP) paradigm, we examined the visibility of RSVP targets which were presented on different depth planes. The results of our experiment showed that the visibility of targets was reduced when all RSVP stimuli were presented on the same depth, although the visibility was not reduced when one target was presented on a different depth plane. |
