Effectiveness of Student's characteristics for their note-taking activity during online learning
Minoru Nakayama (Tokyo Tech.), Kouichi Mutsuura (Shinshu Univ.), Hiroh Yamamoto (Tokyo Tech.) ET2012-81
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To improve learning using online learning environment,
note-taking activity was introduced into two type of university
courses such as blended learning and fully online learning, and
note-taking skills of students were surveyed.
A factor of note evaluation is significant in two-way ANOVA for the
factor scores of note-taking skills, while a factor of course is not
significant.
Structural Equation Modeling technique was applied to conduct causal
analysis between student's characteristics, and note-taking activity
and test scores. There are some differences in the model between two
courses.
Also, factors affecting test scores are extracted and influence of
course difference is determined.
