We tried to build a virtual Yamahoko Parade experience system as a digital museum research for Kyoto Gion Festival. We collected acceleration data of Hayashibutai, the performance stage of the Yamahoko float, with acceleration sensors during the parade. We are trying to reproduce the vibration using a vibration platform and integrate vibration, sound, and 3D CG to build an experimental system. As a new step, a 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) vibration platform is utilized instead of our previous 3 Degrees of Freedom (3DoF) one. In this paper, we introduce the data collection, data preparation, and experimental evaluation of the new system. |
