近年,携帯電話の主流は従来のフィーチャーフォンからiPhoneやAndroid端末に代表されるスマートフォンに移行してきている.スマートフォンはフィーチャーフォンに比べ数倍のトラヒックを発生させるため,スマートフォンの普及に伴い移動体通信トラヒックが急増している.また,トラヒックの急増を一因とする通信障害が通信事業各社で発生した.通信事業各社は通信設備の増強や,固定通信網へのデータオフロードなど対策を講じているが,トラヒックを削減する新たなアプローチが求められている.一方,ユーザに対して携帯端末の通信品質を通知する方法としてアンテナアイコンが用いられてきた.ユーザはアンテナアイコンの表示が良好であればどのアプリケーションも使用できると判断する.しかし,実際に必要となる通信速度はアプリケーションごとに異なる.通信速度が十分でなければ,ユーザはアプリケーションの応答を待つなどの時間を要することになってしまう.本稿では,これらの問題を解決する手法として,携帯端末の通信品質,具体的には実効通信速度を考慮して,ユーザが使用できるアプリケーションをレコメンドするレコメンドシステムを提案する.ユーザがレコメンドに従いアプリケーションを使用することで,過剰に発生するトラヒックとユーザの待ち時間を削減する.また,シミュレーションにより提案するレコメンドシステムの有用性を評価する. |
