[Poster Presentation] A Basic Study to Manipulate Volume Data of Brain Blood Vessel Using Its Position and Diameter

(in English) In medical practice, doctors diagnose cerebrovascular disease by identifying a lesion from three-dimensionally reconstructed medical images such as computed tomography angiography (CTA) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) by visual observation. The cerebrovascular structure is so complicated that blind spots occur when the medical images are three-dimensionally visualized. The blind spot is one of the causes of oversight of the lesions. If the doctors can contact and move the blood vessel they can easily access regions to examine. Therefore, this study aims to construct a system to support the diagnosis of cerebrovascular diseases in which doctors are able to contact and move the blood vessel extracted from a head CTA image. In this paper, it is considered to manipulate the volume data of the brain blood vessel by using brain blood vessel position and diameter information estimated from the three-dimensional head CTA image.
