The authors claim that "Class diagrams" of UML are based on the mother tongue, English. Thus, Japanese specication descriptions should be categorized into core images of the cognitive linguistics, and converted into class diagram. This paper demonstrates the concrete simple sentence patterns corresponding into each cognitive core images. If the proposed approach is applied to the class diagram generation, the following two advantages are expected. (1) Each sentence of the specication description can be traced into the class diagram. The traceability of the high level design phase is insured. (2) Even-if the different software engineers analyze the specication description, the resultant class diagrams are identical. This is a good result from the engineering point of view. |
