Performance Evaluation of a Novel Spectrum Sensing Scheme using Feature Detection Based on Clock Extraction
Kenta Sakurai, Masahiro Umehira (Ibaraki Univ.) SR2012-92
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A cyclostationarity based feature detection is proposed as a spectrum sensing scheme for dynamic spectrum access. However it cannot be applied to single carrier modulation signals without cyclostationarity. We proposes a novel spectrum sensing for single carrier modulation signals using feature detection based on clock extraction by envelope detection where an overlap FFT filter-bank is used to receive the primary signals. This paper evaluates false-alarm and miss-detection performance of the proposed spectrum sensing scheme and compares with those of the conventional energy detection scheme by computer simulation.
