Block Diagonalization Precoder with Projection Method for Multiuser MIMO Systems

(in English) In this paper, we propose a block diagonalization (BD) method with projection method and QR decomposition (QRD) for suppressing inter-user interference (IUI) in multiuser multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) system. Projection method to projects shadow of vectors to a subspace is used for linear transformation of vectors. Several IUI suppressing methods have been proposed because IUI suppressing is notable problem in
MU-MIMO system. One of the solutions for suppressing IUI is BD method that enables to cancel IUI completely. Conventional BD method makes null space for canceling IUI and beamforming with singular value decomposition
(SVD) operation from feedback information. However, a problem of conventional BD method is high complexity due to a lot of SVD process. In this paper, we propose a block diagonalization (BD) method with projection method and QRD and show that proposed method has lower complexity than conventional BD method with SVD. In addition, we show that the proposed method has same performance to conventional one by computer simulation under IEEE 802.11ac WLAN system model.
