| (in English) | The cloud based services such as "Dropbox" and "Google Docs" is widely accepted as one of important applications, and 3G/LTE mobile communications provide high speed accessibility to the Internet. These arising new services and new communication technologies lead to significant increase of the traffic. To carry this huge traffic, the power consumption of the network also increases. This growing demand for electricity requires the development of an energy-efficient approach which takes into account the traffic characteristics of a network. We have proposed a scheme for achieving the dynamic link control scheme for power saving, based upon the change in traffic volume. However, from the performance evaluation with real traffic, frequent link changes and over estimates of the transmission performance are observed with our scheme. Therefore, we improve the estimation of our scheme by taking into account the history information of the amount of arriving traffic. The proposed schemes are evaluated with real traffic and we show that the proposed scheme can achieve the low link changes as well as high power saving with sufficient communication quality. | |
