Accurate Patterning for Flexible Devices by Gravure-Offset/Flexo Printing Method

(in English) Research on precision printing has been developed extensively for a long period. However, sufficient performance has not been achieved for constructing organic devices. In addition, current printing technology has poor efficiency of using the materials, leading to environmental pollution, increase of energy consumption, and requirement of large instrumentation. The authors have developed a novel gravure-offset printing method that can achieve highly efficient use of materials, accurate patterning and multilayer formation, as well as high durability in repeated printing. This was achieved by compensating the misalignment for multi-layer printing, and also by controlling the nip pressure caused by the swelling of blanket through real-time monitoring.
