| (in English) | Software Engineering refers to the engineering that targets the development, operation, and maintenance of systematic and highly productive large-scale software. On the other hand, Knowledge Engineering is an engineering to provide a key and useful approach in realizing a practical AI system. As a study group to provide a forum for research exchanges across both areas, SIG-KBSE plays an important role in Science and Technology education and research in Japan. While, the international conference JCKBSE sponsored by SIG-KBSE is absolutely valuable as a forum for international exchange of this research activity, and has contributed to the promotion of academic exchange with Eastern Europe in particular. As the first chairman, I would expect the further development of the SIG-KBSE. | |
