We proposed a new method to measure the mandible movement occurred in sleep bruxism (SB). New flexible polymer sensor was used in our proposed method. This sensor converts its bending curvature to voltage. We conducted measurement experiment to confirm that the mandible movement in SB can be measured by a flexible polymer sensor. Electromyogram of masseter muscle was measured as reference of mandible movement in this experiment. Measurement result shows the possibility that the mandible movement occurred in SB can be measured by a flexible polymer sensor. |
