Influence of radio wave absorber performance to test result deviation between full anechoic room and semi-anechoic room.

(in English) A full anechoic room (FAR) is investigated as the test facility which is used for the radiated emission tests from the information technology equipment. The limits of disturbances by FAR are different from that by semi-anechoic room (SAR) because the configuration of FAR is different from that of SAR. However, the investigation of the test result correlation between FAR and SAR is important to evaluate the test results by FAR because a SAR is used for the test facilities of the radiation disturbance test.
In this report, we evaluate the effect of the absorber performance against the test result correlation by using the FDTD method. In the investigation, to analyze an anechoic room, the radio wave absorber was modeled by the large cells which approximate the absorber as multilayer materials. The material constants were determined from the constants of the absorber materials considering with the occupied volume. The normalized site attenuation (NSA) of a small anechoic room was calculated by the FDTD model and the correlations were evaluated by the deviation of the NSA. The results show that the deviation is reduced comparing with the case of a perfect absorber by employing the radio wave absorbers whose reflection loss is finite.
