A Study on Event-driven Impedance Matching for Short Pulse CAN

(in English) Controller Area Network (CAN) is a communication standard for in-vehicle networks and is widely employed by a number of vehicle types.
CAN is required to achieve high rate and high multiplexing because in-vehicle devices became high quality.
However, the increase of rate and multiplexing for CAN causes ringing with high amplitude and long duration as compared with the transmission pulse.
To achieve high rate and high multiplexing CAN short pulse line codes which have shorter pulse duration have been proposed by our research group.
However, the short pulse line codes only do not remove the ringing effect so the high accuracy symbol detection is needed.
In this paper, event-driven impedance matching is proposed to achieve higher rate and higher multiplexing CAN.
In this newscript, we analyse the signal waves of the proposed and conventional schemes and show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme for high rate and high multiplexing CAN.
