Adaptive Dynamic Filter Applied for Refinement of Airborne Ultrasound Doppler Signal for Urodynamics Study -- (2nd report) --

(in English) Abstract: Along with our development of airborne ultrasound Doppler system for external non-contact urodymanics study, we devised an adaptive dynamic low-cut filter to refine the signal for simple zero-cross rate method for instantaneous frequency measurement to estimate running urea speed. It suppresses the low frequency component adaptively at every time of varying signal parameter, and helps to avoid low frequency interference artifact which causes under-estimate of instantaneous frequency, and hence urea speed. The mechanism is such that when signal level is excess than predetermined threshold, the filter cut-off f frequency is to be raised until the filter output remains about target value. This method can effectively prevent underestimate of zero-crossing rate measurement for instantaneous frequency due to co-existing low frequency artifact, in the signal. Following up to our 1st report (7) we present now the continuing part.
