Super High Bit Rate Mobile Future Radio Access System using SHF/EHF Bands

(in English) In this report, in order to realize future super high bit rate and high capacity mobile communication network, on the premise of Phantom cell concept that newly overlays a small cell (using relatively higher frequency band) on a macro cell (using relatively lower frequency band) of the current cellular system and that separately connects radio links for Control (C)-plane and User (U)-plane to the macro cell and the small cell respectively, we indicate a basic concept for super high bit rate mobile future radio access system using higher frequency bands from super high frequency (SHF) to extremely high frequency (EHF). Especially, in higher frequency bands than 6-8 GHz, we describe radio propagation characteristics, a system concept taking into account their characteristics, high speed radio transmission technologies, and requirements of high-frequency devices.
