Interference Canceller for Multi-hop Relay with Diversity
Takanori Matsuno, Hiroyuki Miyazaki, Fumiyuki Adachi (Tohoku Univ.) RCS2013-170
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Multi-hop decode-and-forward (DF) relay using frequency reuse and time diversity can improve the End-to-End throughput performance with reducing the interference. However, if the number of channels for multi-hop DF relay is too large, the spectral efficiency is reduced. In this paper, we introduce an interference canceller in order to reduce the interference without increasing the number of channels. Receivers remove the interference from the nearest relay by using the signal which was decoded at previous time-slot. We show by computer simulation that the interference canceller can improve the spectral efficiency without increasing channels, and show the optimum number of hops which maximizes the spectral efficiency.
