Simple Decision-Feedback Block Differential Detection for DSTBC -- Performance of Higher Modulation Index in the Presence of Diversity Reception --

(in English) This paper discusses performance of simple decision-feedback block differential detection (DFBDD) for differential space-time block coding (DSTBC). The author proposed direct data detection type DFBDD, which can detect transmitted information without metric based data detection. The author also confirmed that the DFBDD with higher order channel prediction can track fast-time varying fading. This paper evaluates performance of the DFBDD with higher order channel prediction in the case of higher modulation index and diversity reception. Computer simulation results confirm that floor of bit error rate (BER) of the proposed DFBDD is less than 10-3 in the case of 32PSK and 2-branch diversity reception, when maximum Doppler frequency normalized by symbol rate is 1%.
