Driven by the cost pressure in recent years, silver is reconsidered to be a candidate of finish material on the electrical contacts of signal connectors under certain conditions. In this paper, the pure silver plating on electrical contacts was assessed by hydrogen sulfide corrosion, contact resistance measurement and sliding simulation. The usability of silver plating on the electrical contacts was discussed based on the theoretical analysis and the experimental results. |
