[Invited Talk] Macroscopic quantum hybrid system

(in English) Atomic and molecular systems are intriguing candidates for quantum device as they demonstrated very long coherence times. One such particular system, an electron-spin nitrogen-vacancy color center in diamond, is a natural candidate to act as a quantum memory for superconducting qubits, because of their natural energy splitting compatible with flux-qubits in addition to the long coherence times. We have demonstrated a gap-tunable flux-qubit is able to coherently exchange a single quantum of energy with a macroscopic ensemble consisting of approximately 3E7 NV- spins. This strong coupling which is enhanced more than three orders of magnitude with the large collective coupling is essential to understand the physics of the macroscopic quantum hybrid systems: the fast gate operation in supreconducting qubits and the long coherence memory time in natural atoms. In this talk, I would like to introduce relevant experiments in this field and our recent results.
