Investigations on Constellation of Star QAM Schemes Considering Cubic Metric for DFT-Precoded OFDMA

(in English) We have shown that the constellation with the same signal points at all concentric rings decreases the required average received signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR) considering cubic metric (CM) satisfying the average block error rate (BLER) for Star QAM for discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-precoded orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA). In the paper, we investigate the effect of phase shifting at the concentric rings for the constellations on the required average received SNR considering the CM, and clarify the best constellation for Star 16/32/64QAM schemes. Moreover, we compare the Star 16/32/64QAM schemes with the best constellations to Square 16QAM/Cross 32QAM/Square 64QAM from the viewpoint of the required average received SNR considering the CM.
