Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper presents design of a linearly-polarized radial line microstrip array antenna (RL-MSAA). A circular microstrip antenna (C-MSA) with a U-slot and a normal C-MSA are used as a radiation element of the RL-MSAA. Radiation phase of the elements can be controlled in the range of 180 degrees by tuning their dimensions; therefore, the desired phase distribution of the array can be designed. In this paper, an RL-MSAA with three concentric rows of the U-slot C-MSAs and the normal C-MSAs arranged at a spacing of 0.65 wavelengths is designed and tested in 12 GHz.
