Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This presentation discusses the development of a pronunciation training program in Japanese using an automatic speech recognition system. The system outputs "prosody graph" using an automatic speech recognition engine called“Ami Voice”developed by Advanced Media, Inc. The program is capable of diagnosing both segmentals and prosodies and providing visual feedback, which is easy-to understand. However, the false information called “oso-sagari(delayed accent)” disturbed the learning when a learner used the system. Therefore, based on the result displayed by the system, we used F0 of a mora as the pitch for the previous one. As the result, 85% of sentences showed correct pitch patterns.
