Similarity Estimation Method between Comics Based on Reviewing Texts

(in English) The goal of this research is to develop a comic retrieval system that suggests comics by taking into account their contents. In comics, a variety of information about the story or characters is included in the contents. In conventional comic retrieval systems, metadata such as genre and bibliographic information is attached to each comic. The system can search comics based on comic genres using the metadata. However, since the number of the genres is limited, a detailed search based on genres cannot be performed. This paper proposes a technique that uses reviews to extract a comic’s contents and to provide new information based on the extracted contents. The proposed technique analyzes the text using TF-IDF and LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation). From the analysis results, this technique visualizes a graph based on the type of information about the comic contents that can be given to the user, thereby encouraging an intuitive understanding.
