A study on correction of deviation for Japanese drum rhythm learning

(in English) In this paper, we examine the change of the deviation of rhythm in real time by using our system. Oursystem can indicate deviation on rhythm recognition. The deviation is defined as the time difference between the
reference rhythm and impact sound. A learner can recognize and correct the deviation of the rhythm whileperformance. The deviation is indicated by a gradient color that corresponds to the direction and amount of deviation
in the display. It allows the learner to recognize the deviation intuitively during the performance. In the experiment, we went a comparison of three methods. (1)use the system, (2)not use the system, (3) performance with senior. As a result, the deviation of rhythm was decreased using the system. Our system can support the rhythm deviation recognition and correction.
