Cache Replacement Method using Round-Trip Time in Content-Centric Networking

(in English) In this paper, we propose a cache replacement method using rout-trip time (RTT) in content-centric networking (CCN). CCN is a future communication architecture which is suitable for distributing content. CCN can reduce download time for a user because CCN has an in-network caching mechanism. CCN routers replace their caches based on Least Recently Used (LRU) which removes the least recently referenced content first. Although LRU can achieve high cache hit rate, it cannot reduce download time. In this paper, we propose a cache replacement method using RTT for reducing download time. CCN has a function for measuring RTT between sending a request message and receiving a content. Our proposed method can reduce RTT by using not only the frequency of requests but the measured RTT. We also evaluate our proposed method through simulation experiments using the real network topologies. Consequently, we show that our proposed method can reduce download time compared with the existing cache replacement method.
