The objective is to design and fabricate a simple, low cost and high gain two-element rectangular X-Band microstrip array antenna which operates at centered frequency of 9.52 GHz, large bandwidth and well matched to the source. The optimum design parameters of the antenna are selected to obtain the low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and as well as high gain. This antenna is simulated by using microwave office (AWR. Corp.) and IE3D. Also, this array is manufactured by dielectric RT duriod5880 with 2.2 dielectric constant, 0.0009 loss tangent and 1.575 mm height, tested in anechoic chamber and results were compared with simulations. The antenna is suitable for X-Band applications such as satellite communication, radar and medical applications. |
