| (in English) | As increasing of network speeds (capacities), it has become more important to reduce network power consumption. In passive optical networks, reducing the buffer size in aggregation layer-2 switches by using the integrated dynamic bandwidth allocation technique is an effective solution, but it can lead to the decrease of bandwidth efficiency. In this report, we propose a novel integrated dynamic bandwidth allocation technique that avoids this decrease. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can attain almost 2.5 times higher bandwidth efficiency compared to the conventional scheme. | |
