Energy aware MPR selection with MPR triming for network lifetime extension based on OLSR

(in English) By increase of mobile terminals, ad-hoc network is expected to be applied in a wide fi eld of applications.Reduction of energy consumption of terminals are essential to extend operating time when external power cannot
be used as in a disaster. To make communication time longer we propose EL-MPR(Extend Lifetime MPR). Using the EL-MPR, a node selects smaller sets of MPRs with consideration of residual energy than OLSR. Flooding mes-sages such as TC messages are decreased caused by reduction of MPR set of the EL-MPR. Thus, the EL-MPR can decrease energy consumption of mobile terminals. We implemented our proposed method and results of simulation
experiments are shown that communication time of our proposed method is 30% longer than OLSR.
