| (in English) | To explore the design directions of ICT services for homes, it is essential to avoid negative effects caused by the device location. We therefore conducted mail-in survey and ethnographic interview and found that the location of ICT devices affect two factors. One is whether users do other things when using ICT services at the same time. Another factor is the time length of the usage. We classified their usages patterns depending on these two factors, and fell into three main categories. Based on the categories, we discuss several design directions for encouraging the use of ICT services in domestic environments. | |
