A Path Construction Scheme for Boolean Network Tomography-Based Link Failure Detection

(in English) Network tomography is an inference technique for internal network characteristics from end-to-end measurements. In this article, weconsider boolean network tomography to identify link failures in anetwork. In boolean network tomography, the relationship between end-to-end measurements and link states are represented with a systemof boolean equations, and link failures are identified from the measurements. When a non-adaptive path construction scheme is used, however, many measurement paths should be established. In this article, we propose an adaptive path contruction scheme to reduce the number of measurement paths. In the proposed scheme, measurement paths are squentially established from a candidate set of link failures.
