Investigations on estimated vocal tract area functions of growl-like singing voices

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) Behavior of vocal tract area functions estimated from growl-like singing voices was investigated to introduce a simple model for generating synthetic growl-like singing. Our previous study revealed that a fast modulation of spectral shape around 2 to 4 kHz is the most significant feature of growl-like singing. LPC-based vocal tract shape estimation with relevant preprocessing procedures was applied to growl-like singing and normal singing voices.
