Study on Secure Common Key Transmission in Chaos MIMO Scheme
Yuma Inaba, Eiji Okamoto (Nagoya Inst. of Tech.) RCS2014-202
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Ad-hoc networks have attracted attention according to the spread of wireless LAN systems. However, safe communication is not realized in the ad-hoc network by conventional cipher schemes such as RSA encryption which needs the distribution of trusted public key, because there is no trusted central terminal such as the Certificate Authority. Therefore, to solve this problem, we propose a physical layer ad-hoc public key transmission scheme based on chaos-encrypted communication. In general, the chaos encryption is not recognized as a strong cipher scheme. Thus, we show that the proposed scheme can realize a safe communication in ad-hoc networks, and that the security depends on the difficulty of discrete logarithm problem which is the common criterion in the current encryption schemes. Furthermore, we clarify the relationship between the eavesdropper channel capacity and the key similarity.
