| (in English) | Developing efficient network platforms has been an important research task to deal with large volumes of contents growing faster. Especially for movie contents, several research projects and products have progressed by adopting cache mechanisms to reduce duplicated transmissions and by configuring routing to alleviate congestions. This paper proposes a novel cache mechanism that deals with content pieces of movies based on their access. We focus on ununiformity of access frequency of each content piece to control piece basis cache management. We built a simple movie delivering system adopting the proposed cache mechanism to validate practicality using preliminary splitted files and user agents for several request patterns. Through explorative experiments, our cache mechanism is achieved to reduce up to 32% of communication volume maintaining the users' response time compared to the case of non splitted contents. |
