The lack of latency support framework in existing Internet causes problems that high end-to-end latencies degrade customer experience, such in interactive network services. We proposed Latency AWare InterNet architecture (LAWIN) which satisfies various latency requirements from different applications. In this paper, we present a couple of Earliest Deadline First (EDF) packet schedulers instead of ordinary First Come First Served (FCFS) one. These schedulers satisfy per packet latency requirements, and realize the same packet loss proper- ties as FCFS, simultaneously. Both schedulers shown the same order of performance as FCFS by software-based emulations. |
