It is important to understand the efficacy of iodinated contrast media in digital subtraction angiography. However, the vascular enhancement has not been investigated in the light of the interaction of X-ray photons with iodine molecules embedded in contrast media. In previous study, we have derived a new formula for comparing the efficacy of iodinated contrast media in vascular CT images, based on the X-ray absorption characteristics of iodinated contrast media, and indicated that the efficacy of contrast media is affected by the molecular structure of contrast medium. However, it is also important in investigation of efficacy of contrast media to understand the kinetics of contrast media. In this study, we have investigated the kinetics of contrast media using Fractal analysis. |
