In this paper, a 2.4 GHz low noise amplifier (LNA) is designed and optimized for front-end receiver system by using Advanced Design System (ADS) software. The LNA exhibits a noise figure (NF) of 1.42 dB, a power gain (S21) of 12.98 dB with input (S11) is -20.13 dB and output return loss (S22) is about -11.98 dB. Measurement results display maximum gain of 10.36 dB with NF of 1.43dB and S11 of -18.13 dB, and S22 of -12.28 dB. In term of linearity measurements, LNA achieves a Gain Compression Point (IIP1) of -11 dBm and 3rd order interception point (IIP3) of +6 dBm. The measurement results agree with the simulation results. |
