Performance evaluation of H-infinity control for wireless control systems with packet loss

(in English) Packet loss in wireless communication channels is one of the major weakness in wireless control systems. H∞ control designs the controller to reduce the influence of disturbances, so that a communication technique based on H1 control is expected to improve a wireless control system performance. In order to propose such a communication technique, we need to know performance characteristics of H∞ control. In this paper, for evaluating performance of H∞ control for wireless control systems with packet loss, we compare the influence of packet losses in a H∞ control system with considering packet loss at controller design, in a H∞ control system without considering and in a LQ(Linear Quadratic) control system. Numerical examples clarify that the H∞ control system with considering packet loss improve stability performance and decrease tracking performance. Further, packet loss of control information in the H∞ control system is more important factor on the performances than that in the LQ control system.
