We demonstrated RZ-OOK to RZ-DQPSK format conversion with all-optical clock regeneration, which does not require a conventional clock recovery circuit and optical pulse source. This scheme successfully achieved error-free operation. In comparison with a conventional scheme, the obtained power penalty was less than 0.4 dB. |
