We propose a method for the classification of seven kinds of diffuse lung disease patterns with arbitrary region of interests (ROIs). Lungs have a little round shapes. But, in previous articles, the shape of the 3D volume-of-interests (VOIs) was cubic so those could not fill up the lung fields. So, we propose the setting method of the VOIs using watershed algorithm for extraction of accurate edges of lung structures. In order to classify the opacities of each diseases, we analyzed them using texture information and structures on VOIs. Finally, those diseases were classified by using a support vector machine. |
