An analysis and study of micro burst traffic in an enterprise network

(in English) In the design and operation of enterprise network, 5-minute average traffic such as MRTG is generally used.
With this amount of traffic, we can understand to some extent macroscopic traffic volume such as daily change or hourly change or event traffic.
However there is a momentary burst of traffic generated in IP traffic, packet loss or delay due to overflow of transmit buffer may occur.
In particular, on enterprise network, it is sensitive to their properties.
Therefore, we must understand the characteristics of burst traffic on enterprise network.
The unit time delta-time as step size of 1ms, etc., horizontal axis: the amount of traffic per delta-time, vertical axis: where we drew the characteristics of the occurrence probability, it was found that it is in accordance with the log-normal distribution.
I consider the analysis content and result.
