| (in English) | This paper proposes implementation of data access functions for distributed key-value store based on consistent hashing. The implementation employs OpenFlow switches for eliminating server load. Each server takes charge of the hash spaces indicated by assigned IDs. ID assignment formulas are shown for equalizing the charged space size and maximizing the distance among the spaces so as to ensure server load balancing and data reliability. Since assigned IDs are multiple of 2x, the upper x bit values in hashed required data keys indicate destination servers. A load balancer calculates a hashed key, sets its upper x bits in the destination IP address field of the request packet and allocates the packet to one of the OpenFlow switches. By referring to the x bits, the packet is routed to the switch accommodating the destination server. Finally, the destination IP address field is changed to the destination server’s IP address. The method for preparing matching rules in flow tables is illustrated to realize the routing sequence mentioned above. The experiment quantified the relationship between the number of flow table lines and switch processing load. | |
