In this report, we propose a method for estimating trajectories of smartphone users in indoor environment. Trajectory estimation is based on pedestrian dead reckoning that exploits inertial sensors in a smartphone. The trajectories are corrected each time the two measurements are given: the distance between users estimated from received signal strength and the user position within the field of view of the static camera. The trajectories are simultaneously corrected by solving an optimization problem. We refer to this procedure as trajectory group optimization. The proposed method is evaluated in terms of accuracy and processing time. |
