Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In 5G mobile communication system, it is one of the most important issues to clarify the propagation characteristics in the high-SHF (above 6 GHz) and EHF (mainly 30 – 60 GHz) bands. For the purpose, authors have conducted measurement in the street cell environment and the accuracy of Ray-tracing (RT) has been evaluated by comparing with the results for these frequency bands. It has been found that the difference between measurement result and RT calculation increases as frequency becomes high in Non Line-Of-Site (NLOS) scenario. In order to correct the difference, we have proposed to implement RT calculation by replacing a conventional box-shape model of right angle wedge with alternative model called Rounded-shape (RS) model with curved surface for building at the intersection. In this report, RT simulation with RS model is implemented including multi-path effect for several different NLOS routes. Frequency dependency of the difference is evaluated by comparing with measurement result. Based on the evaluation, finally, optimal parameter of RS model is discussed for the better RT calculation. Further consideration of ray composition is also discussed.
