Implementation of an acoustic localization method for calling frog using a wireless sensor network

(in English) Mathematical models inspired from biological mechanisms helps to lead robust and adaptive systems in the ICT field.For constructing those models, it is necessary to observe and examine biology of animals, insects, amphibian, and etc., however, small creatures living in a wild environment may be hard to detect.Many localization techniques have been proposed so far, but most of them are based on the assumption that targets had a transmitter or a receiver.In the case of finding creatures, therefore, those techniques simply cannot be applied.In this paper, we focus on localization of the position of frog.We implement an acoustic localization system using wireless sensor networks whose node has a microphone.Through experimental evaluation, we show that the localization error in implemented system is about 20 [cm] under a less echo and less noise indoor environment.
